Welcome to the Slap Shot Fantasy Hockey League!
There are tons of Fantasy Leagues to choose from....why choose us? We have currently have three league options available at three different price levels. All leagues are composed of 20 teams each with a maximum team roster of 21 players. We offer limited keepers at three players per team to keep the player pool as deep as possible for the draft. Still with 20 teams, our size gives you much better odds of winning the prize money. 1 in 20 odds are certainly better than 1 in 7000, don't you think? Although the prize money may not be as lucrative as the winnings from a game of online roulette, the odds are certainly better. More importantly than money is the elevated level of competition with our GM's. We have a great group of GM's an draft day is a lot of fun and offers a great chance to do some trash talking before the season gets underway.
We use NHL stats and a well balanced points system to keep the competition close. New for 2015-16 is one minor adjustment in how we select the draft order. Rather than using the Canadian Lottery to determine position, we will use the tried and true reverse standings order from the previous regular season. We offer a combined package that includes both the regular season as well as the playoffs. We also utilize the an online drafting system for drafting only to make it a quick and efficient draft. After draft day all information and rosters are managed through our site. General Managers have a budget of 71.4 million for the 2015-16 season with which to draft their team. Live drafts are completed for each league and we enforce the NHL salary cap as per the cap numbers provided by HockeyBuzz.com. Check our rules and information page for more details on joining the leagues.
