Wings strike first!
One game into the conference finals….are the Stars already in trouble? They in no way looked ready for the game and are going to have to get back to basic hard fore checking and pressuring the man on the puck or they will be exiting the series early. I had to turn the game off after it was 3-0….I love hockey, but hate a rout…especially at the hands of the Wings. I think the showcase series of this round should be the Pens and Flyers. They are pretty evenly matched and have some goaltenders playing excellent at the right time. Although I prefer Pittsburgh in this series, it will not be a walk in the park as the last two series have been for them.
Good luck in your games!
Scott

The playoff page has the match-ups and will be the updated as the series progress. Remember that the top scoring team from each conference in the first round gets a bye to the conference finals. I am hoping to have enough teams next year to eliminate the bye, as I think it sucks sitting out a round while everyone else gets to compete. Line-ups will be changed weekly as in the regular season. I think I have the lineup submission fixed again, although if you have cookies blocked you may have some issues. I toyed around with the idea of adjusting rosters on a daily basis for the playoffs, but felt that there have been too many problems with late lineups and that causes me much grief when trying to process stats on a timely basis. Maybe for next year…
A reminder on the prizes:
Regular Season Champion - $100 and plaque
Playoff Champion - $50 and a plaque
Total Points Champion - $25 and a plaque
Congratulations again to Anthony Stallone and his Montreal Stunners for winning back to back regular season championships! I’m sure his wall does not have room for all three plaques, so let’s get out there and show him what the playoffs are all about!
Best of Luck to you all in the playoffs!
